Window Cleaning

Terms and Conditions

Overview:

DCM Window Cleaning offer monthly, bimonthly and one-off Window cleaning services.

Monthly and bimonthly cleans are a minimum “3 cleans” agreement and if cancelled/skipped before the third visit then the customer will be liable to pay for any remaining cleans. Any cancellations after the 3 clean period will require 30 day notice or may still be chargeable. This service is aimed as a regular all-year, all-weather service. A request to “miss/postpone/skip” a clean by a customer once they have received an automatic text reminder is still chargeable.

DCM Window Cleaning continue this service in all weather, unless unsafe to do so, in which case the clean will be rescheduled for the next available day.

Conservatory roofs are not included within the stated price and are a separate service. One-off Window Cleaning is available on request. Quoted pricing is for external cleaning unless stated otherwise. Internal window cleaning is quoted on request as a one-off service.

Cleaning Method:

DCM Window Cleaning use purified water, fed through a window cleaning pole & brush, to agitate the dirt and then to rinse the glass and frames.

For internal cleaning, a traditional mop applicator, detergent, squeegees and cloths are used.

T&C’s regarding obstacles and animal waste:

We require the areas to be fully accessible without any obstructions, for health & safety reasons. This includes all debris, furniture, electrical items/cables, hoses, plants/weeds, locked or damaged/broken gates, etc. and any other obstacles in the paths and areas that we need to access to safely and efficiently clean the windows. For insurance reasons, we will not move any items. The customer is responsible for ensuring all animal waste on the property is removed prior to the clean. If animal waste is unnoticed when we arrive and it gets on to our staff or equipment we charge a minimum of £30 fee to hygienically clean any equipment, etc.

Upon arrival, we ensure there are no obstacles or animal waste visible to us. If it appears this is not the case we will not continue with the clean and it will still be chargeable to the customer. The customer will be notified that we were unable to clean, with any notes of the reasons for this. The full clean will be charged if access is not available (locked gates, blocked side paths, etc.), only accessible windows will be cleaned.

If animal waste contaminates our staff/equipment during the clean then we will not be able to continue and the window clean, along with the above mentioned equipment cleaning fee, will be charged in full.

Payment terms and procedures:

We accept the following as forms of payment - PayPal, online card, cash, bank transfer, direct debit.

Terms: all invoices are due on receipt and payment is expected within 24hours.

Reminders and late payment: Reminders are sent after 24 hours. If late payment is reoccurring, the customer will be required to set up a direct debit with DCM Window Cleaning for the service to continue. You will be advised via email/text message if this is the case. If the invoice remains outstanding for 14 days then a £30 admin fee will be applied. After 28 days of non payment, the outstanding amount will be legally enforced, this may incur further charges and effect credit history of the customer. At this point, DCM Window Cleaning will remove the customer from the window cleaning schedule. Payment plans can be arranged if the customer is unable to afford outstanding invoices. No further cleans will be completed while there is an outstanding customer debt.

Weather conditions:

DCM Window Cleaning will continue with normal cleaning schedules through all weather, unless it is unsafe to do so. This includes rain and snow. We guarantee our cleans for 24 hours if they are contaminated due to the weather we have cleaned them in. In this case we will return and clean the windows again without charge. This guarantee does not cover other contaminates to the window that are not a direct cause of the weather we cleaned in.

Complaints:

Any complaints must be made within 24 hours of our visit. We will individually assess any complaints in person and if deemed a valid complaint, we will clean the appropriate areas without charge.

Foreign Objects and Additional notes:

Our window cleaning process is designed to clean the windows of any environmental dust, dirt, bird/bug waste. We do not remove cement or other building debris, paint, silicone and other contaminates from non-environmental origin from the windows. The customer is responsible for advising DCM Window Cleaning if any non-environmental debris has contaminated the windows along with advising which windows are contaminated. If the windows have cement/building debris on them we will not clean these windows. If we have not been advised of such debris and the windows are cleaned, which may lead to scratches, we are not responsible for damages caused.

Scratch disclaimer:

The equipment used to clean windows is designed to not scratch windows, it is also designed to not allow any hard debris such as pebbles, stones and brick particles to attach themselves to the brush, this does not apply to cement already adhered to the windows. DCM Window Cleaning are not responsible for any scratches noticed by the customer after the clean.

Text Reminder & Cancellations:

The “reminder” text message is automatic and synced with our schedule, it’s intended as a reminder only, any cancellations received after this message are not considered unless an emergency and are still chargeable. We clean in all weather, all year, unless it’s unsafe to do so (such as heavy rain or high winds) as light-moderate rain doesn’t affect the clean and our pricing is based on the frequency of the service.
